TWM Solicitors initially implemented IP Office to increase productivity and cost savings through reduced maintenance as they were able to administer IP Office systems in various offices from one central location. IP Office Release 5 however will take productivity to another level.
“The new thin client applications and browser-based features such as call reporting and one-X Portal will have a significant impact on the productivity of our solicitors, who are constantly on the move – between offices, courts, clients and working at home,” said Alan Barrett, Head of IT for TWM Solicitors. one-X Portal --a web-based unified communications client-- gives the firm’s solicitors control of telephony, conferencing, messaging, presence and mobility applications as well as access to corporate and personal contact information via a simple, consistent interface.
“Letting home office-based and mobile workers use a unified communications via the Web is a major benefit, said Barrett. “This will not only make it easier for workers to bring up what they need from any location, but will also save us the expense of deploying applications on every employee’s laptop.”
The Avaya solution for TWM Solicitors was implemented by Avaya Business Partner RCG Global based in Surrey, UK. "In addition to the new features and functionalities, one of the most compelling things about IP Office R5 is the significant simplification of the selling and buying experience. The new role-based solutions make it easy for small businesses to choose the right communications solution based on their specific worker needs. This combined with the simplified pricing, will make it an extremely attractive offer for resellers such as RCG,” said Chris King, managing director of Avaya Business Partner RCG Global.
