With 25 years experience installing Telephone systems, we wanted to avoid the “rip and replace” practices adopted by other suppliers and manufacturers.
We also felt that Integration was also “key” and so chose systems that would allow users to add equipment from other manufacturers in order to enhance and create longevity to the system.
Technology was moving fast then and even faster now. Telephone systems had to integrate with Companies IT systems, yet remain reliable and unaffected by any “IT” networking issues.
The “hardware” design of the Telephone system also had to change from the large box containing all different kinds of circuit cards, to a slim device capable of sitting next to an IT Server in a rack with easy connection to external wiring to allow non experienced staff to make changes and also easy to re-locate.
RCG found all of these attributes within the Avaya systems, in fact time has proven many more improvements such as reliability, the ease of remote programming and software changes, adding additional features - all creating an improved service and cost effective solution to the customer.
Today, Company owners, Directors and IT departments are challenged to reduce costs yet somehow invest in order be “ready” and “agile” – to emerge from the economic “slowdown” in a more “competitive “state”.
This means cut costs but innovate – Avaya technology is focused on this in terms of creating efficiency and providing “interconnectivity” so that there will be no need to “throw out” 90% of existing infrastructure in order to implement the system.
